Neon Auto (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Neon DriveCost, a vehicle cost calculation application designed to help users calculate and understand common driving and vehicle-related costs.
We respect your privacy and have designed Neon DriveCost to work without requiring an account or unnecessary access to personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Neon DriveCost does not collect personal information from users.
The app does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, or other personal details.
We do not use the app to collect analytics, advertising data, location information, contacts, messages, photos, videos, microphone recordings, or other sensitive information.
2. INFORMATION ENTERED INTO THE APP
Neon DriveCost allows you to enter values for vehicle-related calculations, such as distance, fuel usage, fuel price, trip expenses, maintenance costs, insurance costs, parking and toll costs, loan or lease costs, and other calculation inputs.
These values are used only to perform the calculations requested by you.
Neon DriveCost does not transmit these calculation inputs to Neon Auto or to an external server.
3. CALCULATION HISTORY
Neon DriveCost includes a History feature that allows you to save and review previous calculations.
Saved calculation history is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers or synchronized with an online account.
You can delete individual saved calculations or clear your calculation history from within the app.
Because this information is stored locally, removing the app or clearing its application data may remove locally stored information.
4. APP SETTINGS
The app may save certain preferences on your device, such as your selected currency.
These settings are stored locally so that the app can remember your preferences when you use it again.
Selecting a currency changes the currency denomination displayed and used for your calculations. Neon DriveCost does not provide currency exchange or real-time currency conversion.
5. INTERNET CONNECTION
Neon DriveCost is designed to perform its core functions offline and does not require an internet connection for its vehicle cost calculations.
The app does not use its core functionality to send your calculation history or calculation inputs to Neon Auto.
6. ADVERTISING AND ANALYTICS
Neon DriveCost does not currently contain third-party advertising.
We also do not currently use third-party analytics services within the app to track how you use Neon DriveCost.
7. PERMISSIONS
Neon DriveCost is designed without requesting unnecessary sensitive device permissions.
The app does not require access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, SMS messages, phone calls, photos, videos, or similar sensitive device information for its current functionality.
8. DATA SHARING
Because Neon DriveCost does not collect personal information through the app, we do not sell or share personal information collected through the app with advertisers or other third parties.
Locally stored calculation history and preferences remain on your device and are not shared by Neon DriveCost with third parties.
9. DATA SECURITY
We have designed Neon DriveCost to minimize privacy risks by keeping calculation history and app preferences locally on the user’s device.
However, the security of locally stored information may also depend on the security of your device and operating system. We encourage users to maintain appropriate device security measures.
10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Neon DriveCost is a general-purpose vehicle cost utility and is not specifically designed to collect information from children.
The app does not require users to provide personal information or create an account.
11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
The current version of Neon DriveCost does not rely on advertising or analytics services for its core functionality.
If future versions introduce optional online features, third-party services, or other functionality that changes how information is handled, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.
12. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy if Neon DriveCost’s features or data practices change, or when necessary to reflect applicable requirements.
